Alec McClure is an American-born Canadian actor, he portrayed the character Chris Hobbs in the Showtime drama series Queer as Folk.

Biography[]

He was born in 1977, in Amarillo, Texas, United States and grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He attended York University and Glendon College in Toronto, Ontario, Canada (as well as Thea Gill). He also graduated from the University of Alberta Conservatory Acting Program in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Notes and Trivia

  • Similar to his former co-star, John Furey (who played Craig Taylor in the series), McClure appeared in another Showtime drama Women: Stories of Passion in the late 1990s and has appeared in several TV and film movies and a few TV shows.
