After Ted finishes rehab, Ted and Blake keep contact with a strong connection lingering. They caught up with each other through Ted continuing his healing out of rehabilitation. Blake helped Ted get rid of any triggers (while the biggest one, Blake, was right in front of him.) in his place and on many circumstances, it brought back inside jokes where it reminded them of being together.
They clashed when it came to the amendment letters (particularly the one Emmett returned back to him) which he never received one from Blake himself which made Blake think how he never gave Ted the proper amends and rather leaving without a trace knowing Ted loved him.

Another day, unknown to Ted, Blake comes back and cordially talks to Emmett; more pleasant conversation then their past. Blake assures Emmett that his letter is to address a certain pain he feels for hurting Emmett. Emmett stops by Ted's house and admits that part of him didn't want him to recover, but suffer, because of how much hurt he caused him. Emmett also commended Blake on being a very good counselor and friend.
