Hank Cameron is a minor character in the Showtime drama series Queer as Folk,

He is the son of Dr. David Cameron and his mother's name is Lori. He is only seen in the first season as minor character and approximately twelve years of age and a middle school student of seventh grade.

Story[]

David's preteen aged son, Hank Cameron, comes to town to spend time with his father. He meets Michael with the commenting on his youth. After struggling awkward moments, David leaves them to take care of work matters. Hank vents to Michael about his father and how he has to have everything planned, and Michael breaks from the itinerary David has set up. Hank and Michael bond through eating junk food and reading comics.

One day his mother, Lori, called and informed his father that she was getting a divorce to man she married for unknown reasons and it was affecting him as he had built a healthy step-father and step-son bond with him. Due to the situation, his step-dad’s departure (possibly angry with his mother), his grades were dropping and he wanted to quit the hockey team.

In response, David goes to Portland and consoles and convinces Hank not to quit the hockey team. David makes the decision to go back to Portland to be there for him, and Michael later accompanied him. David continues to stay in Portland with him even after his father and Michael break up.

  • He is approximately the same age as Hunter Novotny-Bruckner. It is most likely Hank is a bit younger by months as Hunter is almost 18 by the end of the final season.
  • Hank loves comics and junk food; such as pizza.
  • He loves hockey.
  • He is Athletic, like his father.
  • David implies that he usually has good grades in school.
  • He is approximately two years older than John Kinney, approximately three year older than Peter Kinney, and approximately three-four years older than Molly Taylor.
  • If his father and Michael were still dating and his story-line was present, he would be 17 years of age by the series finale and close to finishing high school.
