Mr. Dixon is a secondary character in Queer as Folk. He is a teacher at St. James Academy. At one time, he is instructor of Justin Taylor, Daphne Chanders and Chris Hobbs. He is portrayed as a teacher that doesn't tolerate homosexuality and has prejudice to students of the LGBTQ community.
Story[]
Mr. Dixon at first stops all the horseplay with the various students in his class, and then tells the students to take their seats and does roll call. He blames Justin for the commotion, and while others try to say it was Chris Hobbs that started the commotion, he ignores.
Mr. Dixon continues to do roll call, and when he calls Justin, Chris Hobbs answers, "Queer!" for him instead of here making the class laugh. Mr. Dixon ignores this, and when Justin tries to bring it to his attention, Mr. Dixon answers him with a certain prejudice, "I didn't hear anything." Justin says what Chris just said and Mr. Dixon gets upset and retaliates saying that if he speaks out of turn again that he will send him to the principal's office. Justin fights back and stands up to Mr. Dixon saying that now that his hearing is returned and says "fuck you!" as he leaves class with students having a mixture of laughing and applause.
He is also responsible for stopping the gay-straight student alliance that Justin and Daphne attempted to start in one of the classroom saying they had no permission to use the rooms.
